Vice President, Applied Learning
Renee Welch, Ph.D., oversees the departments of applied learning and adult education, which includes the Instructional Services and Community, Conference Affairs teams at the Ounce.
Known as a learning architect, she facilitates the credentialing and accreditation of training and continuing education, as well as systems that supports the Ounce’s strategies, products and solutions. As previous co-director of External Education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Renee was responsible for designing, developing and promoting the university’s eLearning and professional education programs.
She holds a doctorate in educational policy, organization and leadership from the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign. Renee also holds credentials in the Kirkpatrick Four-Level Model of Evaluation, as a Change Management Professional and Master Online Instructor. She currently serves as a board member for Parents as Teachers National Center.
