Senior Vice President, Programs and Training
Claire Dunham leads the Ounce’s programs and professional learning work, which includes the Educare Chicago school and a network of home visiting, doula, Early Head Start and Head Start programs across Illinois.
With the Ounce since 1996, Claire has developed a wide range of new programs for teen parents and their young children, as well as numerous trainings for paraprofessional and professional staff. She led the development and initial implementation of the Ounce’s national online learning platform for home visitors, known as Achieve OnDemand and also provides consultation for state leaders in designing systems that support home visiting.
She earned her master’s degree in social work from the University of Illinois—Chicago and currently serves on the Executive Committee of Illinois’ Home Visiting Task Force and the Advisory Board for the National Home Visiting Applied Research Network.
