On March 22–23, 2017, experts and school district leaders from across the country will meet in Chicago for a summit on best practices and strategies for aligning education from birth through 3rd grade.
Research shows that high-quality early childhood programs can improve children’s chances for success in school and in life. By aligning children's educational experiences from birth through 3rd grade, we can sustain and enhance gains made in the early years and truly close the achievement gap before it starts.
The Excellence in the Early Years: District Leadership Summit highlights innovative alignment models and district-level policies and practices designed to achieve better student outcomes. The Summit will bring together district education leaders, including superintendents, chief academic officers, assistant superintendents and school board members. With in-depth seminars and opportunities to network with other committed local leaders, attendees will leave inspired with new ideas for approaching this critical work in their own districts and communities.
